| Community Commitment — Scholarship Information |
TDECU College Scholarship Fund Each year TDECU awards scholarships to promising area students who are members of the credit union. Scholarship selections are based on academic performance and financial need.
At TDECU, we recognize our responsibility in helping our members realize their full potential, and we are pleased that we can help make their dreams of a bright future come true. That is why the credit union established the TDECU College Scholarship Fund. The fund serves to assist TDECU members in obtaining a higher education from any accredited college or university.
One hundred eleven scholarships have been awarded since the programs inception. In the year 2006 alone, eighteen scholarships of $1,000 each were awarded to college-bound credit union members.
Applications You may be eligible for one of TDECU's College Scholarships. To qualify, you must be a high school senior or adult entering college for the first time in the fall and you must be a member in good standing. Print and complete the application or pick one up at the following high schools:
* Angleton High School * Brazosport High School * Brazoswood High School * Danbury High School * Sweeny High School * Columbia High School
You may also pick up an application at TDECU's Lake Jackson Office, or simply call and we'll be happy to mail one to you.
Scholarships applications must be received by TDECU no later than February 28, 2007

Scholarships at Manchester College
Manchester College offers a variety of scholarships to incoming students including scholarships based on academic achievement, special abilities, and religious affiliation. Students must be admitted to Manchester to be considered for scholarship eligibility. Students may apply for any and all scholarships they are eligible for but may choose only one academic scholarship.
* Academic scholarships are awarded based on class rank, academic achievement, and SAT or ACT scores. All are renewable for four years if the student maintains the specified minimum grade point average. * Indiana and other state governments offer scholarship and grant programs that vary from state to state. For more information, contact your high school counselor or search on the web for scholarships available through your home state.
Scholarship Days
Our top scholarships—full tuition Honors Scholarships and Trustee Scholarships (up to $14,000 per year)—are awarded to Presidential scholars invited to our spring Scholarship Days. Scholarship Days include interviews with faculty, students and graduates, and information sessions about Manchester's Honors Program, international studies opportunities, and other programs. Spring 2008 Scholarship Days are February 9 and February 23. To be invited, your application for admission must be complete by December 31, 2007. Students who qualify will receive an invitation in the mail.
